About the 2018 Folk Music Festival

40 Years of Music Under the Trees

Come sing, dance, and play with us! Enjoy acoustic music from world-class artists right in the comfort and beauty of Shawano’s Mielke Park. You, your friends, and your entire family are invited to the 40th Shawano Folk Music Festival! So much music, so many artists, so much joy and creativity! Download the Festival Program here.

This year we welcome back many of the well-loved musicians who have graced the festival stages over the past 40 years. Musical styles to enjoy include folk, bluegrass, Americana, old-time country, acoustic blues, contemporary singer-songwriter, and more. The wide range of music has something for everyone: toe-tapping fiddle tunes, sing-alongs, story songs, heartfelt ballads, swinging strings, fabulous guitar picking, and more. The kids will enjoy our children’s activities.
